The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) has determined motor vehicle crashes to be the number one cause of death of children over the age of six months in the United States. The proper use of child car seats is one of the simplest and most effective methods available for protecting the lives of our young children in the event of a motor vehicle crash.

Inspection Station at Rutgers University

Please note: On major holidays or home football games, our station will not be open. Click view the Scarlet Knight's schedule.
If you are using a GPS to get to our station, please do not make the first left onto Bartholomew; continue down and make your second left onto Titsworth Pl. A Google map can be accessed to see the street view of the inspection location.

The RUPD has partnered with the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (NJDHTS) to provide instruction and guidance to the public. During the scheduled times, certified technicians are on hand to assist in ensuring your child safety seat is properly installed.
