Records Management

The Records Management department provides information to campus departments regarding the proper procedures for retaining and discarding university records. The program assists departments with developing a "Records Retention and Disposal Schedule," which is in compliance with federal and state regulations. Every office and department on campus is faced with the challenge of storage space, as well as decisions about which records to keep and which to discard. Records Management assists departments with these decisions and provides effective solutions for the proper retention of university records, special collections and university archives. This group currently securely and safely stores over 155,000 boxes of records at its warehouse and receives almost 12,000 new boxes annually.
