Performance Evaluations for URA-AFT Employees

Dear ELT & Hiring Managers: As you know, performance evaluations for URA-AFT employees who are eligible for the Staff Compensation Program (SCP) must be completed by April 30 of each fiscal year. Effective immediately, when submitting your employee's performance evaluation in ServiceNow, in the Short Description field, please enter the information as follows: 2024 Performance Evaluation - Employee Name and Employee ID ex. 2024 Performance Evaluation - John Doe 00012345 This will help us track those employees who must have their performance evaluation completed. If the employee is out for an extended period, please submit a case in ServiceNow to let us know.

ServiceNow Improvements are Now Live

Employee Services is pleased to announce these recently implemented improvements to the IP&O ServiceNow platform: We have removed all check-list notifications that have been sent to internal users and watchlist monitors.  We have incorporated standardized messaging in the form of “Response Templates”.  The “Response Templates” will be used when providing information to our internal users and watchlist monitors via the “Comments” section of ServiceNow. We have incorporated standardized messaging in the form of “Quick Messages”. The “Quick Message” templates will be used when sending responses via the ServiceNow email portal. We have activated the ServiceNow “Bell” notification system. This will notify Employee Services agents that an internal user has left a comment pertaining to their case. Until now, we were not notified that a comment had been left for the Employee Services agent, unless the agent opened the ServiceNow case. Additionally, enhancements were also developed that are internal to Employee Services and will aid our efforts to support the IP&O Hiring Managers and Supervisors. Each of our improvements went through a rigorous process that included development and testing before moving to production. We have requested additional changes and will announce those changes once they have completed the development and testing phase. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Employee Services using the ServiceNow portal.

ServiceNow and Standard Operating Procedures for Employee Services

Employee Services (ES) was among the first groups to go live in the ServiceNow multiphase implementation. This strategic decision was made so that we have plenty of time to access and then finesse how Employee Services operates in ServiceNow while we are integrating the rest of the division into the software platform. It is important to recognize that the initial roll out is just the first step of our evolutional ServiceNow journey.
