Mail Services is the mail distribution hub for all department and student mail. Each campus at Rutgers University has specific pickup and delivery operations. See below for more information about your campus.


New Brunswick Campus

University Mail Services manages a distribution network encompassing 15 mail routes and more than 550 mail-stops. Mail is delivered once per day, in the morning on the Busch, Livingston, RBHS- Piscataway campuses and in the afternoon on the College Ave, Cook, Douglas and RBHS- New Brunswick campuses. Our carriers normally depart on his/her assigned mail route at approximately 9:30 am in the morning and approximately 1:00 pm in the afternoon -- each route takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete.

University Mail Services handles all incoming US Postal Service (USPS) and campus mail, as well as processing outgoing USPS mail.

Camden Campus

Mail service to/from the Camden Campus occurs in the morning Monday - Friday, between the hours of 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. If mail arrives prior to delivery personnel beginning their afternoon routes, it will be included in that day's distribution. If the mail arrives after mail delivery routes begin, it will be distributed the next business day.

Newark Campus

University Mail Services manages a distribution network encompassing 8 mail routes consisting of multiple 300 mail stops. Mail is delivered once per day in the morning. 

Mail services to/from the Newark Campus occurs in the afternoon Monday - Friday, between the hours of 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. If the mail arrives after mail delivery routes begin, it will be distributed the next business day.
