REHS staff conducts workplace assessments to identify and evaluate potential health and safety issues as part of its occupational health and safety program. In December 2004, the Laboratory Safety and Design and Occupational Safety Committees finalized a reproductive and developmental health policy that identifies the resources available to identify and minimize potential risk. Participation in this policy is strictly voluntary, and is intended to provide the student, faculty, or staff member with information about potential reproductive health issues associated with their university environment, as well as recommended control measures, so they can make an informed decision about their continued work or learning activities with their personal obstetrician.

Any student, faculty, or staff member who is pregnant, has a reproductive and developmental health concern, or works with known mutagenic, teratogenic, or carcinogenic agents may contact REHS at (732) 445-2550 to request an assessment.
