PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to NJSA 13:1D-157 and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Administrative Order 2021-25 (AO 2021-25), that Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, which operates two main campuses in Newark NJ, located at 249 University Avenue and 65 Bergen Street, intends to hold a virtual Public Information Session as part of renewing its NJDEP Title V Operating Permits for these campuses (PI Nos. 08242 and 07726).

The Title V Operating Permits were initially issued on 3/13/2007 and 8/13/2002, respectively, and renewed every 5 years since. Upon final approval, these permits will be renewed for an additional 5 years. Pursuant to AO 2021-25, a public information session will be held virtually on October 24, 2022, from 6 pm - 7:30 pm. The information session will be held via Zoom. To attend the meeting, please register by sending an email request to airpermit@rutgers.edu to receive a link for the meeting.

In addition, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey will accept public comments on the Title V Operating Permit renewals for a sixty-day period starting September 22nd, 2022, and concluding on November 22nd, 2022.
