Procedures for Retiring/Resigning from Rutgers

Dear IP&O Staff: We would like to remind you that if you plan to separate from IP&O due to retirement, it is crucial to inform both Employee Services and your supervisor. Even if the you have already submitted your retirement or resignation to UHR’s OneSource or to the State, you must also complete the DocuSign form. It is necessary to notify Employee Services to avoid potential delays in the commencement of your retirement income, final Rutgers "Sick" time payout, or a final payout, if applicable. This notification ensures that your separation is processed on time and accurately. Please use the Separating from the University–DocuSign form when submitting a retirement notification. You may also email us at es_requests@ipo.rutgers.edu. This important step will ensure that you receive everything you are entitled to as you separate from Rutgers. Reminder: Fiscal Year-End Paid Time Off

Good Afternoon: As we approach the end of the current fiscal year, June 30, 2023, we request your assistance with the fiscal year-end Kronos/UKG and Absence Reporting System (ARS) closeout process. This process requires that all Paid Time Off (PTO) requests be entered into Kronos/UKG and ARS prior to June 16, 2023. It is critical that we meet this deadline as both systems will be closed, and therefore unable to make edits to staff records through fiscal year end, June 30, 2023. Staff members: Please review your remaining Vacation, AL, and PH days in the ARS, and request your PTO within Kronos/UKG, allowing supervisors to approve or deny your request. Use this guide if you are unsure how to request time off within Kronos/UKG. Supervisors: Please monitor staff Kronos/UKG and notify any employee who may be in jeopardy of forfeiting excess time if not used. Please approve or deny all requests no later than close of business Friday, June 16, 2023. For any unanticipated absences during this time frame, for example, sick or an unplanned absence, etc., supervisors must send a notification email to es_requests@ipo.rutgers.edu, so that the paid time off pay-code can be entered in the ARS system. The Employee Services team will be performing a final ARS update between June 19 and June 30, 2023. No edits to FY23 absence records will be permissible after 12pm (noon) on 6/29/2023.
