At Institutional Planning and Operations we are continually striving to provide the best tools possible to enrich the customer experience and support the Rutgers University community.

 IWMS Administration will do this in four key ways:

IWMS Facilities Condition Analysis and Strategic Planning

The IWMS Facilities Condition Analysis and Strategic Planning (FCA) group provides an enterprise-wide view and stewardship of physical assets and facility renewal needs statewide.

To support Strategic Planning and Reporting, the FCA team performs asset field inspections, collects and manages the asset and assessment database inventory of over 50,000 items, furnishing insight and analysis of capital improvement and deferred maintenance projects across all units within Institutional Planning and Operations.

FCA communicates the big picture, organizes the details, and monitors progress...creating a valuable and essential tool to help manage a vast asset portfolio.

 IWMS Administration Updates

e-Builder

e-Builder is the capital planning and project management information system used by IP&O. It will be applied across the entire spectrum of projects, serving as the exclusive source of project information by providing a complete and unobstructed view of cost, schedule, documents, and progress.

Implementation of this software is currently in progress. Go Live is expected third quarter 2023.

ServiceNow

ServiceNow has been selected as the new computerized work management system for IP&O. This system will unify all IP&O departments on a single platform, tracking work efforts and workflows, enriching the customer experience, providing better tools to enhance the user experience, and centralizing information within one database.

Implementation is pending. Go Live is expected Second Quarter 2023.
