Rutgers University Division of Institutional Planning & Operations Parking Services will soon be undertaking an extensive parking lot restoration project affecting all parking lots around the Stanley S. Bergen, Jr. Building (Lots 5, 5A, 5B, 6 and 7).
This project will address surface conditions, increase barrier-free accessibility, repair fencing, ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, re-allocate and update reserved and guaranteed parking, and generally improve lot conditions.
The project will be conducted in at least four (4) phases. Phasing and schedule, which are weather-dependent, are being finalized and will be announced shortly. The project will be undertaken in several phases, with phasing intended to minimize (but not avoid) lot closures.
During each phase, the lots (or portions thereof) that are not being paved will be available for parking. Capacity in these lots will be reduced while work is underway, and alternate parking for Permit Holders will be available at decks P1 Norfolk, P2 Bergen, and P3 DOC.
Access to the decks is by License Plate Recognition. Your vehicle information must be current. Log in into your account to confirm or update vehicle information.

Notifications will be provided in advance of the work. Any vehicles that remain in the lots after notification will need to be removed/relocated by Rutgers to enable work to occur. Relocation of these vehicles would be at the owner’s expense.
We appreciate your cooperation as we continue to make improvements in our parking facilities across campus.
