  • Hosting a clean-up on campus? Please join National Wildlife Federation’s Clean Earth Challenge and help us reach our goal of picking up 4 MILLION pieces of trash by EARTH DAY. There are three options to report the trash from your clean-up:
  • Fill out the online form
  • Download and print the collection form
  • Download the Litterati app from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store, use Join Code: CLEANEARTH

Call for Case Studies in Waste Minimization – Share your best practices in waste reduction with campuses across the U.S. All colleges and universities are encouraged to submit a case study. Winners will be awarded in each of the following categories: zero waste, food waste reduction, waste diversion, and education & awareness; and all case studies will be featured on the CR2ZW website, www.CampusRacetoZeroWaste.org. Case studies are due June 24, 2024.

CR2ZW 2023 Impact Highlights:

  • 3.4 million students, faculty and staff reached
  • 200 colleges and university participants from 44 U.S. states and Canada
  • 29.4 million pounds of waste donated, composted and recycled
  • 205 million single-use plastics kept out of the landfill
  • Participants prevented the release of 29,108 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent into the atmosphere, which is equal to avoiding the annual emissions from 6,128 cars
