Edison, NJ 08817If your RU ID is found and returned to one of our offices, a notification will be sent to your official university email account. You must come to the office that is holding your card to retrieve it. There is no fee to retrieve your card.
Found ID cards will only be returned if you have an active university status role (i.e., active student record, active employee appointment, or current guest sponsorship). Found IDs are only held thirty (30) days from notification to your university email address.
- Lost or Stolen Cards
-
It is recommended you suspend your lost/stolen card so that if found, no one else can access your accounts or services. Please note that this action is permanent, even if you should later find your card, and that you will have to pay the replacement fee to have a new ID card issued. To suspend your lost or stolen RU ID, send an email to iam@ipo.rutgers.edu from your Rutgers email account. Requests from personal email accounts will not be accepted. Suspended cards cannot be reactivated for any reason.
If your ID card was stolen as the result of a violent crime, contact the Office of Violence Prevention & Victim Assistance at (848) 932-1181 to make an appointment to speak with a counselor.
Please visit one of the ID card offices to replace your lost/stolen ID card. You will be required to pay the replacement fee. Fee payments are non-refundable.
