STUDENTS

New students (including transfers) registered for new student orientation will receive their first RU ID during orientation. Students not attending orientation will need to visit an ID Card Service Center.

Students who have previously received an RU ID will be required to turn it in to an ID Card Service Center to obtain a new RU ID.

*Exception due to COVID-19: during the time period where orientations are virtual, those attending virtual orientation and who complete all requirements, your RU ID card will be mailed to you by August 31st. If you do not receive your RU ID in the mail, please contact your campus ID Card Service Center after August 31, 2021 to check the status and/or request it be mailed.

ONLINE STUDENTS

Please contact your Online Program to find out how to receive your RU ID card. If you do not have contact information, their general email account is onlinelearning@docs.rutgers.edu.

If you live locally or are visiting a campus, you may visit an ID Card Service Center to have your RU ID printed.

FACULTY/STAFF

New employees will receive their RU ID at new employee orientation. Employees not attending orientation will need to visit an ID Card Service Center.

CARD REPLACEMENT

If your RU ID is lost or stolen, please visit an ID Card Service Center to receive a replacement RU ID. Replacement cards are subject to a replacement fee per University Policy 30.1.10.
