With over 6,300 yards in length, the picturesque, tree-lined, PGA sanctioned course is a par 71 and offers a challenging layout with four teeing areas per hole. Highlights include narrow fairways, fast greens, and water hazards on nine holes. The 18-hole Rutgers University Golf Course is open to the general public from March 1 through December 15, from 6:30 a.m. (6 a.m. on weekends) until dusk. Founded in 1963, the course is located on Rutgers University's Busch Campus in Piscataway. The mission of the course is to ensure that every player enjoys a timely round of golf played on superior fairways and true greens with uncompromising service and instruction.
Daily Course Information
We are all excited that we are once again able to be out on the links playing golf, exercising and connecting with friends in a responsible manner! However, during this difficult time we recognize that some of you may have concerns playing a round of golf with other golfers whom you do not know. If this is the case, we want to let you know that we will consider exceptions to the expansion of play to foursomes on a case by case basis. I encourage you to reach out to me directly and as soon as possible prior to your round, so that we can speak to these concerns and see how we can make you feel more comfortable playing golf at RU Golf Course. Please recognize that it is extremely helpful to have any discussions well in advance of a desired date of play so that we may make a timely adjustment, if needed. My direct office line is 848-445-4981 and it is best to reach me during the hours of 7 am to 6 pm. We look forward to you playing at RU Golf Course and Happy Golfing!

Using the USGA's Resource Management Tool at RU Golf Course
We continue to work with the USGA's Resource Management Tool to develop no mow areas on the golf course. In collaboration with Rutgers Turfgrass, approximately 11 acres of land has been set aside; these areas will be monitored to measure the impact of the reduction of maintenance resources. These intended areas have been marked with white or yellow flags, and you will see them around the facility as you play. Please click here for more information on this collaboration, and to see more about the USGA’s Resource Management Tool and how it is helping golf courses, please click here.
